Sista Irie is a veteran reggae radio host and photojournalist living in Austin, Texas, “The Live Music Capital of the World.” She has produced and hosted “The Conscious Party” on KAZI 88.7 FM for twenty four years and serves as the official photographer for Flamingo Cantina, “Austin’s home for reggae music.” Sista Irie travels the world documenting major events for reggae magazines, travel magazines, festival producers and individual artist promotion. She regularly covers internationally known stage shows such as SXSW, Austin Reggae Fest, Rebel Salute, Western Consciousness, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival and Summerjam Germany, establishing herself as a serious mover and shaker of the reggae music industry while making history with her documentary photography and writing.
