Island Reggae artist NomaD nominated for iHeart Radio Island Music Award; dropping new single
Super-producer Damon Elliott (Grammy winner, son of the legendary Dionne Warwick and the super producer who helped catapult P!nk’s career with production on her albums “Missundaztood” and “Try This”) returns to the music world as solo recording artist NomaD and snags a nomination for ‘Best Break Out Artist’ for iHeart Radio’s Inaugural ‘Island Music Awards.’
Damon reinvented himself as NomaD (his name spelled backwards) back in 2016 after suffering a heart attack. This health scare helped him realize his calling to guide others to an awakened state through music; thus breeding his new sound which fuses traditional pop roots with island reggae. A year later, NomaD moved from LA to Hawaii where he began recording music. He was connected to the legendary George “Fiji” Veikoso, who helped break NomaD’s first single “Take It All” as producer. “Take it All” stayed at #1 on iHeart Radio’s Island 98.5 & 93.1’s Da Pa’ina for four consecutive weeks and maintained a top 5 spot for several more weeks. On January 4, Fiji released his first single with NomaD Crew, “My Wife,” which has surpassed over 100K streams and continues to chart on iTunes.
